Dr. Jan Marckhoff

Dr. Jan Marckhoff is the CEO and co-founder of BEN Energy AG, Zurich and BEN Energy GmbH, Munich. Since 2011 he and his team are working on developing advanced analytics solutions for the European energy market. Previously, he worked as a consultant at Oliver Wyman Financial Services, where he worked on multiple projects for multinational corporates in the European financial and energy markets.

Jan obtained his doctor degree in risk management in energy markets from the University of Bamberg, Germany, and, after finishing his banking apprenticeship, studied finance in Leipzig, Chicago and Bangalore.

Jan is an expert in Data Analytics, focussing on artificial intelligence solutions to understand and predict consumer behaviour. With over 15 year of practical experience, he is a connoisseur of the utility market in Europe.
